The origins of today’s guitar can be traced back a great many generations with many of the ancient instruments showing elements similar to the modern instrument. As well as tuition DVDs offering basic lessons it is possible to aquire specialist versions which teach you how to play in a similar fashion to a particular performer. Commonly these contain a selection of tracks by that performer so that you can master their style.

As well as learning from interactive DVDs on your computer you can also get guitar lessons online. Some people offer tuition on a personal basis via webcams and downloadable material. Electric Guitar Vs Acoustic Guitar

The acoustic guitar is available in a number of types but all have a sound box behind the strings to amplify the sound of the modulating strings.
