One of the problems that is hardest to deal with is when someone experiences marriage problems. It can cause problems in many areas.  Your children, your health, and your job.  It has such a strong emotional reactions it isn't a surprise.

A lot of times things like this don't just happen.Problems that occur in marriage usually start and then begin to grow.  It is in this early stage you want to stop it.  From my experience as a marriage counselor in San Diego I know it first hand.The relationships where you see it is most difficult to fix are the ones where the couple waited too long to find a way to fix it. 

So my hope is that you will be able to see how valuable it will be to take care of it early.  Don't wait too long when the anger and resentment get too much.  Stop it early.

There are many wonderful times and experiences in a person’s life.There are those seasons where we live life carefree.There is that time of our lives when we have more responsibilities as adults.  Then there are those wonderful senior years.  It is those senior years I would
like to take a look at.Mainly, when a person is at that stage when they are unable to take care of themselves.

It is in that time of their lives that a family has to examine 3 options.  This is going to be perspective I have gained from running my own home health care Chula Vista company.

First option is the adult kids taking care of them.  This would be ideal.But there will be instances when the kids aren’t in a position to do it.  Whether it be do to job constraints or family constraints.Well if that’s the situation, there is 2 other choices.

Nursing homes are useful for those instances when someone does have health concerns and really can’t care for themselves anymore.This is somebody who is in need of medical supervision constantly.But if someone is not in that time of their life, they won’t need to go to a nursing home.And from what I have seen, they really don’t want to.Unfortunately, most people think that is the only choice and there is no other.

Well if they coerced into accepting that situation, a senior will feel as if their independance is now gone.They have just lost a lot of freedom. They have just lost a lot of familiar things.
