Take Time This Summer to Learn to Play Guitar
May 22nd, 2009 by admin
Ok, first I want to say something to anyone that will have time off from school for the Summer. Think about this… you get a guitar and some lessons, you practice all Summer. And, when you go back to school your answer to the question, “What did you do this Summer?” won’t be “Nothing.” This time you could answer, “I learned to play the guitar!”
Now, that will impress your friends, your teachers, your parents – it will even impress yourself! This course I am recommending costs far less than private guitar lessons and it’s easy to use with its step-by-step instructions. This course is ideal if you don’t have a fast computer or want to practice without being on the internet or having to download lessons (because this one is on DVDs). There is a good review about this course - it’s called Learn and Master Guitar (just follow that link to read the review). This step-by-step learning course with videos will help you learn to play electric or acoustic guitar. If you like online video courses and want to learn the acoustic guitar, read about another course: Jamorama Acoustic Guitar. Take some inspiration from the avid guitar players in those online videos. A site I like for that is Guitar Lessons For Beginners.
Put those doubts out of your mind (or block out those thoughts that say you can’t actually learn to play the guitar this Summer). You really could learn that quickly – some people learn to play in just days. An entire Summer would give you time to buy a guitar, buy the lessons, start learning and there would still be plenty of time to practice and get pretty good at playing.
Next, I’d like to talk to any parents with kids that are possibly going to have some free time this Summer. You might worry every summer about keeping your kids interested in something besides TV and video games (or just sleeping all day). This is something of such value, you may want to consider helping your child pay for this course (and it will keep them out of trouble and doing something that will benefit them their whole life long). One course could be used by the whole family – so parents and grandparents could learn to play guitar, too! Perhaps this course could be given with “strings” attached (no pun intended), for example if chores are done, then you’ll buy the DVD guitar lesson course. Also, for parents or grandparents that might consider “financing” the guitar lessons – there is a risk free 60 day guarantee (it isn’t even in fine print).
I am so fortunate to have had guitar lessons when I was a kid – I am really glad to be a guitar player! I’m not a famous rock star or celebrity from my guitar playing, but I enjoy it more than any other hobby I’ve ever had. One last thing to think about – this Summer, become a guitar player. Before school starts up again, you really could be playing guitar – and possibly you’ll form a band during the next school year!
